Here’s your invitation to come join me and the WOWT-TV/Channel 6 sports director Ross Jernstrom for a live weekly outdoor report appearance on the station at Walnut Creek Lake in Papillion this Thursday evening during the 6 p.m. sportscast. We ‘re featuring the Family Fishing Night event there! It’s gonna be fun! Look for the Channel 6 vehicle and the Game and Parks Commission’s white urban fisheries trailer on the east side of the lake near the playground.
With the Family Fishing Night, rods and reels, as well as bait and fishing instruction will be available to participants from 6-8 p.m.
Anyone 16 or older needs to have a current, valid fishing permit if they plan to wet some lines. If you have never fished or haven’t fished in years, this event is perfect for you! Come on out, see the broadcast (and the props), plus bring the kids or the grandkids to do some fishing, don’t be bashful!
