CAMPING NEAR THE ‘BLATT FOR THE BIG BASEBALL GAMES by Greg Wagner

 For those coming into Omaha for the big baseball games taking place June 19 – 29/30, there are several camping options in our state parklands within about a 35-45 minute drive of Rosenblatt Stadium (about a block south of our Game and Parks Metro Office).   

 They are the Eugene T. Mahoney State Park off of I-80 Exit #426 near Ashland (Ph: 402-944-2523), the Memphis Lake State Recreation Area on the western edge of Memphis (Ph: 402-471-0641 Lincoln Office ask for Parks Division),

the Louisville Lakes State Recreation Area just west of Louisville (Ph: 402-234-6855),  teepee camping at Platte River State Park southwest of Louisville (Ph:402-234-2217), and the Two Rivers State Recreation Area just south of Hwy. 92 and 264th Street near Waterloo (Ph: 402-359-5165).   

A bit further out, roughly about an hour or so away from the stadium, are the Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area just west of Fremont (Ph: 402-727-3290),

and some of the Salt Valley Lakes, e.g. Branched Oak Lake (Ph: 402-783-3400), surrounding Lincoln.
