In the Wild with Greg Wagner

SPACE FOR CAMPERS IN EASTERN NEBRASKA by Greg Wagner

View overlooking the Missouri River at Indian Cave State Park.

I want to point out that two large, wilderness-type state parks in eastern Nebraska always have space available for tent and self-contained RV campers on busy summer holiday weekends such as this one.

Park staff at these two locations will help find a place for you to pitch that dome tent or park that self-contained motor home. Campsites are secured on a first-come, first-serve basis upon arrival. Those two state parks are 3,399-acre Indian Cave State Park near Shubert (Ph: 402-883-2575) and 2,166-acre Ponca State Park near Ponca (Ph: 402-755-2284).

See you out there, enjoying Indian Cave and/or Ponca State Parks. Pass me a hot dog and a stick, will ya’?
