I wanted to let you folks know that the price of deer, turkey and antelope hunting permits for resident or nonresident youth 15 and under next year will be $5.00!  This was approved today by the governing board of the Game and Parks Commission.  Let’s get even more kids off the couch and into the great outdoors of Nebraska to hunt! Woo-hoo!

Greg, we love watching your clever presentations on TV and hope you’ll follow up on this. Recently I observed some serious damage to trees on the South East end of Meadowlane Park (114th and Burt) brought about by beavers! We took our walking club by the site last Sunday and found the beaver dam. My husband took some awesome pictures. The hard line is: the beavers have to go or the park will suffer. Help needed on this damage control issue. Thanks, Claudianna Todd 334-2374

Hi Claudianna and Gordon,

Thanks for the kudos on the TV thing and for dropping me a note here on on my blog.

Say, regarding the beaver damage, I would suggest that you contact Mr. Pat Molini who is our Southeast Nebraska District Wildlife Manager for Game and Parks based in Lincoln for his insight, suggestions and directions. Pat’s phone number is: 1-402-471-0641. His e-mail address, is: Pat.Molini@Nebraska.Gov

I’ll be sure to pass this info along to him as well. Pat is very knowledgeable about wildlife and does a great job! Hey, maybe you can share some pics of the beaver dam there with us. Thanks again for the note. Take care. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
